Welcome back to another edition of “This Week in Casting,” the column that gives you the rundown of who’s attached to the hottest upcoming projects in Hollywood. From big time players to fresh-faced rookies, we’ve got the week in review for you right here. This week, we’ve got casting news about Kristen Stewart, Mariah Carey, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Alex Pettyfer, and many more. Get all the details below!

.
BIG NAMES
.
Kristen Stewart and Alex Pettyfer to co-star in Cali

The movie: Billed as a gritty action movie, Cali stars two lovers who fake a snuff film and disappear with a bunch of money. Years later, Stewart must rise from the proverbial grave to save the younger sister she hasn’t seen since she left.
Other projects: Stewart has taken over Tom Cruise’s mantle in the media as the most-talked-about person in the past few days, and she’s got the final Twilight movie coming out later this year. We’ll see if her indiscretion factors into that pic’s box office (spoiler alert – not likely). Pettyfer, on the other hand, just starred in Magic Mike and has a supporting role (alongside seemingly every big shot in Hollywood) in the Presidential servant biopic The Butler.

Mariah Carey joins ensemble cast of The Butler

The movie: Speaking of The Butler, Carey will join her Precious filmmaker Lee Daniels to star along with John Cusack, Forest Whittaker, Oprah Winfrey, Minka Kelly, James Marsden, and more in the story of one man who served under eight different U.S. Presidents at the White House. No word yet on Carey’s role.
Other projects: She’s just been added to the cast of “American Idol” as a judge for the new season.
.
Jenna Dewan officially cast in Season 2 of American Horror Story

The show: Details are still slim on what to expect from FX’s mega-popular creepfest next season, but we know that Step Up star Dewan will play one of “The Lovers” opposite Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine. This is really getting interesting…
Other projects: She has a love story called Slightly Single in L.A. slated for release in December of this year.
.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Topher Grace starring in series The Beauty Inside

The movie(?): A crowd-sourced project from Like Crazy director Drake Doremus, Winstead and Grace will star in a project (it’s unclear if it’s a web series or a film) that could star you. That’s right! The premise is that Grace’s character wakes up every day as a totally different person, so one day he could be him, and the next day he could be an Asian grandmother. Basically that means that absolutely anyone could be the next star of this thing, so you can find out more and audition at their Facebook page..
Other projects: Grace is starring in a drama called The Big Wedding opposite Robert De Niro and Diane Keaton, while Winstead appears alongside Jessica Alba, Amy Poehler, Adam Scott, Jane Lynch, and more in a comedy called A.C.O.D..
.
Robert Pattinson will star in The Rover

The movie: Directed by Australian filmmaker David Michod, this Aussie-set drama is a futuristic western set in the desert and stars Pattinson and Guy Pearce as two men who join forces to track gang members through the Outback to retrieve one’s last possession.
Other projects: Pattinson, who undoubtedly is hooking up with the hottest girl he can find right now, has the final Twilight film coming out soon, while Guy Pearce stars in the upcoming Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf film Lawless.

RISING STARS
.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers starring in NBC’s Dracula

The show: Set in the 1890s, this vampire tale goes back to the beginning and tells the story of the most famous bloodsucker of them all. Rhys Meyers will play the brooding lead role.
Where you might have seen him: He starred in “The Tudors” on Showtime and opposite John Travolta in a godawful action movie called From Paris With Love a few years back.
.
Dawn Olivieri set to star in Breacher

The movie: One of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s big returns to action, the film stars him and Sam Worthington as a couple of DEA agents who pull off a tough heist during a cartel raid. They think they’ve gotten away with the perfect crime, but then they start getting murdered one by one. Terrence Howard is also on board, and the film’s being directed by End of Watch helmer David Ayer.
Where you might have seen her: Olivieri, who will play a member of the team having an affair with Howard’s character, has been acting on the Showtime series “House of Lies” lately and also appeared as Andie Star on “The Vampire Diaries.”
.
Dean Geyer and Jacob Artist join cast of Glee

The show: Geyer plays Brody Weston, an upperclassman who shows an interest in Rachel as she shows up at NYADA. Artist will play Puck’s younger brother Jake, who follows in his brother’s footsteps by being rebellious and also trying out for the glee club at McKinley High.
Where you might have seen them: Artist appeared on a few episodes of the Nickelodeon series “How to Rock,” and Geyer starred in “Terra Nova” on FOX and in the little-seen direct-to-DVD sequel to Never Back Down, humorously titled Never Back Down 2: The Beatdown.
.
Kevin Zegers joins cast of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones

The movie: Zegers will play fan-favorite character Alec Lightwood, a Shadowhunter who has a thing for his adopted brother Jace Lightwood and isn’t too pleased when Clary (Lily Collins) enters as a potential love interest.
Where you might have seen him: He played Damian on “Gossip Girl” and starred as Terry in Zack Snyder’s 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead.
