On this lovely Mother’s Day there are a couple of great ways to celebrate your mom. You could spend some quality time on the couch together watching three powerful shows all geared towards women.

Kick off lady power hour with ‘Sister Wives’ (TLC), which is back for season 3. Kody has his hands full chopping down Christmas trees and finding a dream home that will bring the family all together again. Then at 10pm watch a new episode of ‘Veep’ (HBO) and think about women and their power, especially since on this episode Gary and Amy discover that Selina has a lover. Then stay tuned for ‘Girls’ (HBO) a great reminder about the power of female friendships. Marnie and Charlie assess their relationship and Hannah propositions her boss. Mom should feel completely loved and cared for after that great line-up.

On Monday, some of our favorite shows take a bow as they end their seasons. At 8pm catch the last ‘Gossip Girl’ (CW) when Blair is targeted by Gossip Girl, forcing Serena to make a confession and Blair makes a choice between Dan and Chuck. We then say ttfn to ‘Hart of Dixie’ (CW) as Bluebell braces for an storm and Zoe is stranded in a barn with Wade. Then we come to the conclusion of ‘Smash’ (NBC) as Tom and Julia work to save the show & Derek makes a decision that permanently changes Karen’s and Ivy’s lives.

This Tuesday catch the sizzling finale of ‘90210’ (CW) as Naomi announces her decision to accept a job in New York and Dixon tries to save his relationship with Adrianna. Then at 9pm catch a new episode of ‘The L.A. Complex’ (CW) when Tariq and Kal get out of LA but Abby and Nick decide to explore it. Then at 10pm catch the fashionable finale of ‘Fashion Star’ (NBC). The three remaining contestants must create a showcase for each of the retailers & a winner is chosen.

On Wednesday catch a new episode of ‘Modern Family’ (ABC) when Gloria and Jay bicker over lunch and Claire and Cam disagree on how to raise children. Sounds like family to me. Then at 9:30 catch a new ‘Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23’ (ABC) when an embarrassing video of James and Chloe leaks, causing James to worry about its effect on his likeability. And at 10, don’t miss the unmissable ‘Revenge’ (ABC) when a devastating loss brings Jack and Emily closer than ever.

This Thursday brings a bout of odd programming. Catch three new episodes of ‘Community’ on NBC (HAPPY!) but one of them is the finale (SAD!). At 8pm catch your first episode when Gilbert Lawson (Giancarlo Esposito), former right-hand man to Pierce’s father, requests a meeting with Pierce at Hawthorne Enterprises his inheritance is in jeopardy. Then at 8:30 Catch the finale of ’30 Rock’ (NBC) when Jack asks Liz to officiate his and Avery’s vow renewal. Then settle in for another episode of ‘Community’ (NBC) when the study group develops a plan to infiltrate Greendale’s Chang-controlled campus. Then at 9:30 we have the finale. Shirley and Pierce’s disagreement over their sandwich shop leads to Jeff squaring off with Alan (Rob Corddry), his former colleague, in Greendale Summer Fun Court & Vice Dean Laybourne (John Goodman) makes a final attempt at winning over Troy.

On Friday take a break on the couch! You’ve definitely earned it. At 8pm we say goodbye to our favorite invention show ‘Shark Tank’ (ABC). Two fitness trainers pitch their idea for a unique home gym & a young man seeks an investment in his age-defying products. Those are two things I’m interesting in. Then at 9pm catch a new episode of ‘The Ricky Gervais Show’ (HBO) when Karl tries to say that he is happy-go-lucky and Ricky and Stephen try to prove otherwise.

Then on Saturday catch the finale of ‘Saturday Night Live’ (NBC) when the legendary Mick Jagger hosts and performs! That is a great way to rock out the season.
