We’ve seen several trailers now from the upcoming film, End of Watch, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena. But it’s safe to say that you haven’t seen anything like this. Even the red band trailer, which was very explicit, didn’t contain scenes like this.
In this trailer we get to see part of the human side of the dynamic duo, Taylor and Zavala. We get to see a glimpse into how Zavala got married and the birth of his child. We also get to find out a little bit more about Taylor’s role in how and why he’s making the movie (it’s shot from a “found footage” perspective, made popular through movies like The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity). Don’t expect any big revelations from this trailer, but you’ll get a more personal sense of what’s at stake for the families of these police officers. Oh yeah, and there’s a great little comedy bit at the end. Don’t miss that.

Official Synopsis: A powerful story of family, friendship, love, honor and courage, End Of Watch stars Academy Award® nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña as young police officers Taylor and Zavala as they patrol the city’s meanest streets of south central Los Angeles.
.
Giving the story a gripping, first-person immediacy, the action unfolds through footage from the handheld HD cameras of the police officers, gang members, surveillance cameras, and citizens caught in the line of fire to create a riveting portrait of the city’s most dangerous corners, the cops who risk their lives there every day, and the price they and their families are forced to pay.
