As rumors and contrasting reports swirl around the NYC nightclub brawl that went down between Chris Brown and Drake’s possess, the first person to file a lawsuit is ironically neither of the artists at the center of the fight. No, it’s San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker who was at W.i.P. nightclub the night of the incident. The NBA star has filed a $20 million lawsuit against the SoHo hot spot.
.
Parker claims in the suit filed earlier this week in the Manhattan Supreme Court that the club’s owners should be heldresponsible for his injury: a “corneal laceration of the left eye,” according to the New York Post.
.
The club has yet to be served with any papers, however Parker’s lawyer, David Jaroslawicz, recently spoke out on the extent of his client’s injuries, saying they aren’t yet fully known, but that eye injuries “certainly don’t help your outside shot.”
.
It is believed that Parker was with Chris Brown on the night of the fight, although there are many conflicting reports stating that the basketball player wasn’t sitting with either party involved in the fight. “The defendants were reckless, careless and negligent in permitting Drake’s entourage and Brown’s entourage to be in the club at the same time despite known tension between the two,” the suit reads.
.
Said Jaroslawicz of Rihanna, the woman supposedly at the center of this incident, “She’s been known, like Helen of Troy, to cause trouble.” Parker is slated to play for the French national team in the upcoming Olympic Games in London, however he was forced to miss the start of the team’s practices this week as he tends to his eye injury.
