.
Who should watch it: It’s an off-beat “island of misfit toys” sort of comedy, so those already tuned into ‘Modern Family,’ ‘Glee,’ and ‘Raising Hope’ are sure to lap this up.
.
.
.
.
Starring: Tracy Spiridakos, Billy Burke (‘Twilight’s’ Charlie Swan!), Elizabeth Mitchell (‘LOST’ star Juliette), Shane Callahan.

.
Who should watch it: As hard as it may be to face, ‘LOST’ isn’t coming back any time soon, but with this post-apocalyptic drama, J.J. Abrams is trying his best to reel us back in.
.
.
.
.

Despite his unorthodox style, George has an undeniable gift with animals of all kinds – except humans.
.
Who should watch it: Kirk is charming on-camera, as is evidenced by his co-starring role on ‘Weeds.’ And who doesn’t want to watch a monkey wear little, tiny scrubs? But seeing as this show has already gotten flack for interrupting the Olympic closing ceremonies, it may be best not to get too attached.
.

.
Who should watch it: The BBC’s ‘Sherlock’ has a ton of buzz, so if you’re watching that one already, you might want to give this one a try. Plus, Jonny Lee Miller and BBC Sherlock Benedict Cumberbatch switched off the roles of Doctor and Monster in Danny Boyle’s ‘Frankenstein,’ so that strange connection makes this worth watching in and of itself. Also, if you’ve been missing Lucy Liu’s adorableness, this one’s for you.
.
.

.
Who should watch it: If ‘Desperate Housewives’ left a sexy thriller drama hole in your life, and ‘666′ may just be the show to fill it. Plus, it’ll be nice to see ‘Brothers and Sisters’ hottie Dave Annable on TV again!
.

.
Who should watch it: If you spent your summer seeing ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ then ‘Arrow’ is the fall show for you. Also, this show is definitely for people who love parkour and archery, cause this show has got both in spades.

.
Who should watch it: Fans of the Disney tale will see a sexier take here, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth a watch. And as the former star of ‘Smallville,’ Kreuk is more than at home in the fantasy realm.
.

.

However, when Bay discovers that Emmett hooked up with Simone, she leaves the prom angry and alone. And finally, Regina decides to marry Angelo, so that he can stay in the country.
.
What to expect this season: It’s a new school year, and the drama hasn’t graduated. The Kennish’s lawsuit with the hospital is coming to a head, and the whole gang is thrust into the spotlight when Kathryn’s book comes out. Bay is focusing on her art, but can she forgive Emmett?

.
What to expect this season: This season, producers are introducing “The Steal,” which will allow coaches to swipe a contestant from another coach, after that coach has decided to drop the contestant from their team. Also new? A “knockout round,” which will whittle teams down from 10 to five participants prior to going into the live shows.

Where we left off: In the aftermath of Clay’s shooting, Jax’s cover up puts Tig on the hunt and Laroy in danger. History repeats itself when Jax’s future in Charming and with the MC is finally determined, and SAMCRO makes a shift in its member’s rank.
.
What to expect this season: With a scene in the teaser that was so racy it was banned from Comic-Con, expect a season that’s more risque than ever. This season, expect a lot of focus on Jax’s role as the leader of SAMCRO, struggling to become a leader that can be powerful without becoming as out of control as the recently dethroned Clay.
.
What to look forward to: ‘NYPD Blue’ and former ‘West Wing’ star Jimmy Smits will guest star, and if that censored scene is any indication, he and Gemma get very close. Plus, ‘High School Musical’ star Ashley Tisdale joins the cast for a multi-episode arc … and SO DOES JOEL MCHALE. Done, boom, you’re watching, right?
.
.
.
.
Where we left off: Melanie Amaro blitzed her way through three months of auditions, “boot camp” sessions and tension-filled live performances to win the championship, earning her a cushy $5 million, a record contract, a weird Pepsi ad and reality TV immortality.
.
What to expect this season: After a major shakedown at the judge’s table, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato join Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid as the new judges.
.
What to look forward to: With Brit-Brit at the judge’s table and rumors swirling about her dramatic tendencies, this is sure to be an entertaining ’bout of the Simon Cowell reality offering. Though according to Spears, things are relatively breezy on-set- “I feel like my judging style is very subtle. I try to use constructive criticism.”
.
.
.
.
Where we left off: When Rachel decides to defer her admission to school in New York to help get Kurt and Finn to hone their crafts and follow her there, Finn decides to let her go – enlisting in the Army and telling her to follow her dream. Mike Chang heads to Chicago on a scholarship to The Joffrey Ballet, and Santana heads to the Big Apple to pursue her dream. Stuck back in Lima, Kurt, Brittany, Tina and more contemplate their fate.
.
What to expect this season: Now that Finn-chel are dunzo, Rachel will get steamy with NYADA hotshot Brody, played by ‘Australian Idol’ contestant Dean Geyer. Producer Brad Falchuk noted that season 4 won’t be without it’s drama – “All of the core relationships are tested,” he told TV Line, previewing the fourth episode in the season, titled “The Break-Up.” He added: “I’m not going to say who breaks up and who doesn’t, but they all — Santana/Brittany, Kurt/Blaine, Will/Emma, Rachel/Finn — get kicked in the nuts. And it’s all about how do they recover — and can they recover? And some don’t. Absolutely some don’t. Of those couples, not all of them are going to make it. It’s like Titanic.”
.
What to look forward to: Kate Hudson joins the cast as Rachel’s new dance instructor, and Sarah Jessica Parker will appear on the show as a “mentor of sorts.” We’re thinking she and Kurt might get close? And Jacob Artist stars as Puck’s guitar playing younger brother. Plus there are the 7 eps with Blake from the Glee Project to look forward too as well.

And then the two of them make out like teenagers.
.
What to expect this season: Most of the cast will appear in a limited capacity in the series last season, with John Krasinski and Ed Helms taking time off to work on movies. Both B.J. Novak and Mindy Kaling will also return only sporadically, and Rainn Wilson will appear in only 13 episodes before his Dwight spinoff begins.
.
What to look forward to: ‘Greek’ star Clark Duke will join the cast as a series regular, as well as Jake Lacy, who will play a new love interest for Erin.
.
.
(NBC)
.
Where we left off: Knope 2012! Leslie was victorious in her run for city council, ousting Sweetums son Bobby Newport. Ben was offered a job in DC, so he’ll head there when the season begins, but if anyone can handle the long-distance relationship, it’s those two.
.
What to expect this season: With Ben in Washington, we can expect him to be a little bit less involved, much like Tom when he worked at Entertainment 720. April is poised to take on a bigger role at the parks department, and we’ll see whether or not Ann holds true to her drunken commitment to move in with Tom.
.
What to look forward to: Showrunner Mike Schur hints that Katherine Hahn may be back, but she’s in high demand, so her appearance as Ben’s boss may not work out. Also – Lucy Lawless will guest star, as a potential love interest for Ron.

Where we left off: After she leaves her fiance, Ted and Victoria ride off into the sunset. Marshall and Lily are finally parents! Baby Marvin is adorable, even despite his “wait for it” middle name. Then, in the very last scene, we realize that Barney’s bride to be that we’ve seen glimpses of is actually Robin.
.
What to expect next season: Series creator Craig Thomas told EW last month that we’ll get a pretty big glimpse into the future in the season premiere: “We go deeper into [Barney and Robin's] wedding day than we’ve ever gone before. We’re going to show the fans a glimpse of something that we hope will blow their minds,” he says.
.
What to look forward to: Ashley Williams will return as Victoria, so we can expect Ted to be happy, at least for a little while. Plus, ‘Fairly Legal’ actor Michael Trucco will recur as the object of Robin’s affections, reprising a role for a few seasons ago.
.
.
(CBS)
.
Where we left off: The show’s gals achieved a major milestone when their cupcake got some face time with Martha Stewart, who loves the confection. But will it catapult them out of the diner and into the big time? We’ll see.
.
What to expect next season: Well, spoilers are at a minimum on season 2, but it looks like the girls are still at the diner, so let’s not expect the cupcake game to be an immediate success.
.
.
.
.
Where we left off: After deciding to turn a new leaf and move in with Caroline, Nick decides to stay in the apartment. Schmidt, meanwhile, breaks up with CeCe, after becoming fearful that he’ll never get over how much hotter she is than him. Jess overcomes her rapid attachment to Nick, which means we’re not likely to see the two as a couple anytime soon. Sigh.
.
What to expect this season: Jess gets fired! Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, Ms. Day will have to look for something new, employment-wise. But, it’ll give her more free time to meet new men, including David Walton (of NBC’s ‘Bent,’) who has joined the cast as her new bad boy love interest.
.
What to look forard to: In addition to Walton, The Book of Mormon vet Josh Gad will guest as yet another love interest for Jess. Plus, ‘Justified’ star Raymond Berry will appear as future Nick… maybe.
.
.
The regular series resumes today!

.
What to look forward to: Baby time! Plus, ‘Bridesmaids’ star Wendi Mclendon-Covey will guest star as one half of a lesbian couple that Cam and Mitchell get into a kerfuffle with at Lily’s school.
.
.
.
(CBS)
.
Where we left off: Congratulations to the Wolowitz’s! Howard and lady love Bernadette tied the knot, moments before he catapulted into space, with his new role as astronaut. And Sheldon and Amy seem to be getting closer, as the awkward physicist reaches for her hand in a rare sign of affection.
.
What to expect this season: Howard will remain in space for a few episodes, but don’t expect him to be gone long. And while he may be more affectionate, don’t expect Sheldon to go all mushy on us anytime soon. Leonard and Penny may be back together, but it may not be smooth sailing.
.
What to look forward to: The showrunners are keeping mum on a lot of the guest stars and story arcs, but we can expect to learn more about Penny’s life, and her wish to become an actress.
.

.
What to look forward to: Season 3 is going to be chock-full of guest voices, including Jon Hamm (who will provide the voice of a talking toilet), Nick Offerman, Zach Galifianakis, Aziz Ansari, Fred Armisen, and many, many more.
.
.
.
Where we left off: Dexter saw that his season-long nemesis, the Doomsday Killer (played by Colin Hanks), met his fate. And just who witnessed Dexter’s kill? Deb, who’s now in the know of her brother’s dark double life. But that doesn’t stop her from having feelings for her adopted brother, so maybe she’s not gonna spill the beans.
.
What to expect this season: Deb and La Guerta aren’t the only two people who will be on to Dexter this season. “As we introduce in the pilot, Dexter kills someone who is very important to Ray Stevenson’s Isaac, someone who is a significant part of his organization,” says showrunner Scott Buck in an interview with TV Guide.
.
What to look forward to: ‘Rome’ star Ray Stevenson will join the cast in season 7, as an Eastern European mobster determined to learn the killer of one of his associates. But will he be Dex’s big bad villain? Time will tell.

Charlotte, upon hearing the news on the TV, swallows a handful of pills, and Amanda returns, pregnant with Jack’s baby. Finally, we learn that Emily’s mother is alive, though Grayson Global may have played as much a role in her “disappearance” as David Clarke’s death.
.
What to expect this season: New love interests surface for Emily (who’s still feeling burned after pregnant Amanda resurfaced just as she was ready to confess her feelings to Jack), Daniel, and Nolan. And while Jack may be loyal to his pregnant lady love, things aren’t necessarily over between he and Emily. And has Victoria actually perished? Only time will tell.

.
What to expect this season: George won’t let Zoe go without a fight, but he may soon realize that she might not be his to go after anymore. Things pick up the morning after George and Lemon’s would-be-wedding, and things are definitely in a state of unrest for all involved.
.
What to look forward to: It looks like the Wade/Zoe/George love triangle won’t be the only one this season. Producers are looking to cast Ruby, the former Mayor’s former flame. So it looks like Lemon’s in for some competition of her own.
.
.
(FOX)

.
What to expect this season: Will things be smooth sailing for Jimmy and Sabrina, now that Lucy’s officially out of the picture forever? And now that a social worker will have to start checking in on the Chance’s, will they have to step things up?
.

Benny, played by guest star Ty Olsson, is a very old vampire who creates an extremely volatile situation for Dean, who owes him a significant debt after their escape from Limbo.
.
What to look forward to: Unlike the vamps present on ‘True Blood’ and ‘Twilight,’ these blood-suckers aren’t pretty. So expect some pretty scary stuff.
.

Avery returned from North Korea, leading Jack to discover that she had an emotional affair with fellow hostage Scott, and when Jack fessed up about his relationship with Avery’s mom, the two decide to turn their vow-renewal ceremony into a divorce.
.
What to expect this season: This seventh season of ‘30 Rock’ will be the show’s last, with a shortened 13 episode run. But no details of the show’s storylines have emerged, aside from the fact that the series finale will be an hour long episode.
.
What to look forward to: Will Liz and Criss have a baby? Will Jack settle down? And what about Kenneth and Hazel? Are they destined to be the NBC Page power couple that we all never knew we really wanted?

.
.
.

Where we left off: Silver chose neither Liam nor Navid to be her babydaddy, but Teddy. Naomi interrupted Max’s wedding to tell him he shouldn’t marry Madison. Meanwhile, Annie cut ties with Caleb, and Ivy moved to Mexico City to be with Diego. But the biggest shocker was that Dixon was involved in a terrible car accident while driving to see Adrianna.
.
What to expect this season: Assuming that Dixon had all but given up on her, Adrianna hopped on a plane to Vegas with Austin, to open up for his dad. Will these two return next season as single people?
.
What to look forward to: A hot, 25-year-old club promoter is headed to everyone’s favorite zip code, and producers have cast former ‘True Blood’ suicide bomber Wes Brown for the role. And Lori Loughlin will return to the show’s premiere – but will she be attending her son’s funeral, or helping with his recovery? Plus, Olympian Ryan Lochte will “jeah” his way into Beverly HIlls sometime this season as well.
.
.
.
Where we left off: Chuck and Blair, forever! Though she began the season finale romantically linked to Lonely Boy Dan Humphrey, Blair ended the episode by finally (maybe) working things out with her longtime love Chuck Bass. Serena seduced Dan, and Rufus and Lily split, seeing as her husband Bart Bass has resurfaced from the dead. And Nate Archibald may have finally found love in Lola, whom he asks to move in.
.
What to expect this season: The upcoming sixth season will be the show’s last, but will we finally get the resolution we’ve been looking for in terms of the Upper East Siders? It looks like things might not be all peachy keen for Dan and Serena, and she may have found a new man to settle down with. And Blair and Chuck? Will they be the show’s ultimate couple? We’ll see this October.
.
What to look forward to: Season 6 will kick off with a big wedding, but will S walk down the aisle with her new beau that quickly? Dan and Georgina may have spent the summer in Italy, but are they in cahoots for this final season? Time will tell. XOXO.
.
.
.
.
Where we left off: Is Elena dead? She risked her life to save Matt’s, and as a result she’s now full of vampire blood. Also, Ric perished, after killing Klaus… sort of. Bonnie actually switched the bodies of Tyler and Klaus, so Klaus is now in Tyler’s body. Lots of deaths here, people. Finally, Elena makes her choice between the two Salvatore brothers, and picks Stefan.
.
What to expect this season: Don’t be expecting Damon to sit around moping over his lost love. Julie Plec tells Entertainment Weekly that “…two very “memorable” Damon-Elena scenes will happen on the second and fourth episodes, respectively, including what Julie calls her “favorite Damon moments of all-time!”
.
What to look forward to: Plec also told TV Guide that newly-turned vampire Elena will have her “first hot vampire sex” with either Damon, Stefan, Klaus, Matt or Elijah. Yowza.
.
.
.
.
Where we left off: Rick realized Shane’s intent to kill him, and as soon as he’s in the know, he stabs Shane in the heart. But no sooner has he done the deed, and he’s realized that he can’t live with murder. And as Shane rises up in the form of a walker, and Carl shoots him dead. Andrea, despite previously wanting to take her own life, gets attacked by a walker, and is saved at the last minute by a mysterious hooded figure. Lori, despite being ready to be rid of Shane, doesn’t handle Rick’s account of his death well.
.
What to expect this season: Danai Gurira has been cast as Michonne, a major character in the comics, and the hooded figure who saved Andrea in the season finale. Actor David Morrissey has been cast as the Governor in Season 3, who, according to AMC, is the leader of Woodbury, a small settlement of survivors, and becomes the chief antagonist for Rick and the gang.
.
What to look forward to: Don’t expect people to get over Shane’s death very quickly. In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Robert Kirkman revaled that “Shane’s death will have ramifications through the entirety of the series. The way it affects Carl, the way it affects Lori, the way it affects Rick, as well as the other characters. It fundamentally changes them.”

Where we left off: Lisa was determined to uncover the truth that she was adopted, when in reality, it’s her hunky older brother that’s the adopted one in the family. Eden goes into false labor when she sees the garishly decorated nursery that Noah and Jill have prepared for the baby she’s carrying. Meanwhile, Tessa and Dallas have gotten closer, as Dalia has pulled away from her mom. But as Tessa soon realizes, Dallas can’t be a mother figure for her, and everyone’s heartstrings are mercilessly pulled at.
.
What to expect this season: We’ll finally get to meet Tessa’s mom this season, and Dallas and George may be having more of a personal relationship in season 2.
.
What to look forward to: Well, it’s certainly not more Alicia Silverstone, who won’t be around much this season. And Tessa and Ryan? They may be in for more in season 2, as well. She’s spending more time with her mother, and she’s not only missing Chatswin, but the people there.

.
What to expect this season: Showrunner Dan Harmon is no longer involved, which may change storylines in season 4. But Allison Brie hinted that she’d like to work on a horror-centric episode, following her work on ‘Scream 4.’
.
What to look forward to: Guest stars Malcolm McDowell and ‘Little Britain’ star Matt Lucas will join the cast as professors.

Where we left off: The gang celebrated the wedding of two old friends, with everyone being chosen as a member of the wedding party but Jane, whose 5′8″ stature was already taken by someone in the perfectly height-ordered party. Penny’s at the singles table, which actually turns out to be the Skype table. She just so happens to meet a truly dreamy wannabe-guest, who has to sit the wedding out because he’s broken his leg. And after Max gets back together with his male Madonna cover band “Mandonna,” Alex and Dave may be headed for a secret reconciliation.
.
What to expect this season: Alex and Dave pick up the season by casually dating, not hiding things from their friends. But Penny’s unresolved feelings for Dave may complicate things. Though she may not be alone for the whole sesason – talks are afoot that Brian Austin Green will return.
.
What to look forward to: Rob Cordry joins the cast as Jane’s new boss at a car lot, in the wake of hubby Brad’s layoff in season 2. And Rachel Harris will also appear as the real estate agent helping Dave and Alex move towards cohabitation. Maybe.

Where we left off: James Van Der Beek got a nemesis on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ in the form of Dean Cain, with a hint of possible future friction with Fred Savage. Finally feeling like one of the popular kids, June is desperate to keep pace with Chloe and her partying ways. It’s not an easy task, especially when Chloe’s “it girl” lifestyle is so legendary that there’s even a whole Japanese comic book series based on it.
.
What to expect this season: Van Der Beek will reach out to new guest star Busy Phillips, as he’s trying to gather his former ‘Dawson’s Creek’ castmates for a reunion.
.
What to look forward to: Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Frankie Muniz will guest star, playing themselves and trying to coax Van Der Beek into the ‘Dawson’s Creek’ reunion.
