So get this, back in April Katy Perry performed in India and now she’s facing an indecency charge for bringing an Australian cricketer onstage to demonstrate the correct bat-swinging technique for the sport. Seriously we could not make this up.
.
According to the The Sun, Doug Bollinger was invited onstage during the show and came up behind her and held her microphone, a seemingly innocent act that caused a lawyer in the audience to file charges against the pair — and here we thought frivolous lawsuits just happened in the U.S.!
.
K. Jebakumar says Bollinger’s actions were “obscene and lascivious” and adds that the act “distracted students who were writing exams at the time.” However, it seems as if watching a Katy Perry concert would be pretty distracting, regardless of who joins her onstage.
.
Don’t worry, no one has actually been charged with indecency, and neither of the performers need to appear in court when the case is heard on July 31st. So what do you think of this lawsuit and do you think it has any validity? Let us know in the comments section below as you listen to some Katy Perry Radio!
