Director Pascal Laugier (Martyrs) is serving up scares right and left in this trailer for The Tall Man, also known as The Secret abroad. In this horror flick, Jessica Biel stars as a mother who lives in a town where the disappearances of children are blamed on a mysterious figure known as “The Tall Man.”

As the town nurse, however, Julia Denning (Biel) doesn’t believe a word of it … until her own child disappears. In this trailer we get to see a mix of the townspeople, some who discount the mysterious figure as a legend or figment of people’s imaginations, while some are absolutely convinced he is real. When Julia’s child is taken while she is home, she pursues the abductor through what can only be described as something out of an action movie more than a horror flick. We get to see that she confronts “The Tall Man,” but we don’t get to see what he looks like or what happens next, of course.
