When Maybach Music’s own Wale performed last week in NYC at his Myspace Release party, the atmosphere was electric: the MC was celebrating his new album, Ambition, which dropped the day before, and big-name acts in the hip-hop game, from Trey Songz to Rick Ross, were in attendance to help the talented lyricist throw down.

Ambition is projected to have an enormous opening week: the album is estimated to have sold between 160,000 ad 175,000 copies in its first week, placing it at the Number Two spot on the Billboard Top 200. Only Justin Bieber’s Christmas album Under the Mistletoe appears to have sold more.
