Welcome back to another edition of “This Week in Casting,” the column that gives you the rundown of who’s attached to the hottest upcoming projects in Hollywood. From big time players to fresh-faced rookies, we’ve got the week in review for you right here. This week, we’ve got casting news about Jamie Foxx, Logan Lerman, Ashley Greene, and many more. Get all the details below!

BIG NAMES
.
Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, and Douglas Booth in talks for Biblical story Noah

The movie: Acclaimed director Darren Aronofsky has Russell Crowe on board to play Noah in the story of the most famous ship in the world (other than the Titanic). You’ve heard the story: 40 days and 40 nights of rain, the flood…the whole deal. Lerman and Booth will play Noah’s sons Ham and Shem, respectively, and Watson is in talks to play Lerman’s love interest, who presumably comes with him on the massive boat filled with all the animals, two by two. I can’t wait to see how Aronofsky puts his touches on this story and makes it different from the embarassing Evan Almighty.
Other projects: Watson stars in The Perks of Being A Wallflower and The Bling Ring coming up, while Lerman reprises his Percy Jackson role for that sequel and Booth stars in Romeo and Juliet opposite True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld.
.
Ashley Greene as the lead in CBGB

The movie: Greene plays Lisa Kristal, the daughter of Alan Rickman’s Hilly Kristal, and she’ll star as a woman who works as the business manager of the famous NYC rock club CBGB. The movie co-stars Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins as Iggy Pop, Mickey Sumner (The Borgias) as Patti Smith, “The Big Bang Theory” star Johnny Galecki as talent manager Terry Ork alongside Malin Akerman and Rupert Grint.
Other projects: Greene will star in the horror movie The Apparition out later this year, as well as reprising her role as Alice Cullen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.
.
Jerry O’Connell to play Herman Munster in Mockingbird Lane

The show: The show is a reboot of the classic 1960s show, a satire of old monster movies and the traditional family sitcoms that were happening at the time. It’s a sitcom about a family of monsters
Other projects: The former Stand By Me actor has been relatively quiet since his TV show “The Defenders” went off the air in 2011, so this will be the most high-profile project he’s had in a while.
.
Christina Ricci joins cast of Mother’s Day

The movie: She’ll join Susan Sarandon and Sarandon’s real-life daughter Eva Amurri Martino in a film that chronicles the relationships between a dozen mothers and daughters. This is not to be confused with another movie of the same title that came out in 2010, a psychological horror thriller from the director of Saw II.
Other projects: There are whispers of her cancelled ABC series “Pan Am” finding new life at Netflix or some other station, but in the meantime she’ll voice an evil female Smurf named Vexy in the upcoming Smurfs 2.
.
Jamie Foxx and Maggie Gyllenhaal to co-star with Channing Tatum in White House Down

The movie: Tatum plays a secret service agent tasked with protecting the President during a hostile takeover of the White House, while Gyllenhaal will play his partner and Foxx will be the President.
Other projects: Foxx is starring in Django Unchained this Christmas, and Gyllenhaal has a scary-sounding horror project coming up called Voice from the Stone.
.
Samuel L. Jackson joins upcoming reboot of RoboCop

The movie: Directed by Brazilian action director Jose Padilha, this is a remake of the classic 1980s movie in which a cop is shot almost to death and brought back as a cyborg police officer. Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, and Abbie Cornish are starring so far, and now Sam Jackson will play a charismatic TV mogul named Pat Novak who is a heavy hitter in the RoboCop world. (Whatever that means.)
Other projects: He also stars in Django Unchained for Quentin Tarantino, and will reprise his role as Nick Fury in the upcoming Captain America sequel set for 2014.
.
RISING STARS
.
Ashley Tisdale starring in Scary Movie 5

The movie: Word is that Anna Faris won’t be back this time around, so Tisdale will be replacing her in the latest in the spoof franchise. The movie plans on poking fun at Black Swan, 127 Hours, Paranormal Activity, and more.
Where you might have seen her: She gained massive popularity from her roles in the High School Musical series.
.
Kristopher Higgins joining ensemble cast of Devil’s Knot

IMDB Pro

The movie: It’s about the trial of the West Memphis 3, three teenage boys who were wrongfully convicted of killing young boys in a real-life trial that took the nation by storm. Colin Firth, Reese Witherspoon, and many more are already on board, and Higgins will play one of the convicted teens.
Where you might have seen him: He starred on the ABC Family series “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
.
Michael Emerson joins Woody Allen’s latest untitled film

Getty Images

The movie: No one knows anything about it at this point, but Woody Allen’s next movie will co-star Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Alec Baldwin, and Bobby Cannavale and will be shot partly in San Francisco.
Where you might have seen him: Scaring the crap out of people as one of the best villains in the history of television, Ben Linus on “LOST.” He currently stars in the CBS series “Person of Interest.”
