As you probably know, the release of a new Weezer video is always a certain type of cultural milestone. So, you should also probably know that the band has just released the video for their latest single, “Memories.”
It should be no surprise that the song will appear on the soundtrack for Jackass 3D when you consider the fact that the video includes cameos and clips from the entire Jackass crew, including Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera and that fat shirtless dude. It’s always worth noting that the video is all shot on Super-8 film, which makes it resemble a really disturbing Wonder Years intro.
Weezer’s eighth studio album, Hurley, comes out next Tuesday and the band is currently in the midst of wrapping up their jaunt through the summer festival and college-campus circuit. No word however on whether they’ve been inspired by Knoxville & Co. to pull off elaborate pranks on each other, but we’ll ask next time we check in with them.
