Britney Spears is reportedly about to officially sign on as a judge. Now, Simon Cowell is said to be considering none other than Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato!

A show insider tells E! News that in addition to Miley, Avril Lavigne is also in the running to join judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Demi is being considered for the fourth spot on the panel.

Simon Cowell has been searching for two judges to replace Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, whom he fired in January. The show is also looking for a new host to take over for Steve Jones, who was also given the axe.

“X Factor” is scheduled to return to Fox in September.
