New ‘Prometheus’ Featurette Discusses Origins of Man

It’s a topic that has intrigued mankind for thousands of years and still remains unsolved, even with our 21st century technology. The topic in question is that of mankind’s origin. In Prometheus, it is this exact question that drives the mission and its crew to a far-flung corner of our galaxy in search of the truth. In this featurette, director Ridley Scott and the cast talk about the idea of humanity being seeded from the stars and whether or not it’s even plausible.

It’s interesting to note that Scott thinks of this as a possibility, given that we don’t know the exact origins of life on earth. We do get to see a few snippets of the film in this video as well, although nothing that we haven’t seen already. Check out the clip and see what you think, then let us know in the comments … Do you think life here began out there, among the stars?
