Back in February, Demi Lovato got candid with MTV for a documentary called Stay Strong, where she talked about her rehab experience. Since then, she’s also talked about her promoters giving her drugs and the fact that she has bipolar disorder. Now, she’s talking about what it was like cutting herself.
In the August edition of Self magazine, Demi Lovato shares with readers about her past with cutting and what it was like…
.
“There were times I felt so anxious, almost like I was crawling out of my skin — that if I didn’t do something physical to match the way I felt inside, I would explode. I cut myself to take my mind off that. I just didn’t care what happened. I had no fear.”

Lovato entered rehab in late 2010 to deal with issues like cutting and drug abuse. She left the treatment facility in early 2011 and has been working hard at getting her life back on track. Since her departure from rehab, she’s released a new album, Unbroken, and has signed up as one of the judges on The X Factor. She’s scheduled to host the Teen Choice Awards on Fox July 22nd.
