Chances are you’ve never thought of The Rolling Stones and One Direction as having any connection whatsoever. And that’d be normal; after all, one is a massively-influential blues-rock band and the other is a recently-popular UK boy band. But insanely, now there’s a reason to pair the two together; word has leaked out that One Direction group member, Harry Styles, is reportedly auditioning for a role as Stones’ frontman, Mick Jagger, for a forthcoming movie on the band, Exile On Main St.

.

A source recently told The People: “Harry on stage can pass as a dead ringer for Jagger. If he can transform this image into a movie role than he’s going to be a serious candidate to get the part. The signs so far are good.”
.
While we know that the 18-year-old singer — who we must admit looks eerily resemblant to a young Jagger (check the picture of a young Jagger below) — can sing, and can string together a dance move or two, channeling one of the most evocative singers in rock n’ roll history for the film — which is being produced by Virgin boss Richard Branson — may be another story. And how would this time-consuming role affect Styles’ role in One Direction? “If Harry take the part it will lead to concerns about his involvement with One Direction,” the source added. “The band is his main priority but it is flattering to have so much interest from such senior people in the film industry he couldn’t miss this opportunity.”

If Styles was smart he might want to tune into SNL this weekend when Jagger himself serves as the guest host. Just saying.
