Justin Bieber’s new album, Believe, is stacked with guest appearances by the likes of Drake, Ludacris, Nicki Minaj and Big Sean. But back when the album was nothing more than rumors and chatter, weren’t there talks of the Biebs linking up for tracks with Taylor Swift and Kanye West? Well now in a recent interview, Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, revealed why these collaborations  are MIA on Believe. Read on below for the full explanation.
.

In regards to why the album contains no song with Swift, Braun said that a joint track with Bieber and the country-pop star was in fact recorded, but it didn’t make sense for this particular album. “It didn’t go on Believe, because there’s another record they want to work on,” Braun said. “So, it just didn’t make sense at this time, and the song they did just didn’t make sense on this album.” And as for Bieber’s work with West? Braun said it also “didn’t make sense at this time.”

.

Beiber’s manager did however reveal that there was one collaboration that Bieber had hoped to arrange for Believe that never came to be: the pop star it turns out was trying to link up with Maroon 5’s Adam Levine. The two however could never get on the same page schedule-wise. ”We talked with Adam Levine about doing stuff,” Braun recalled. “And he wanted to, but with everything else, we could just never get the studio time in together.”
