As you should know by now, Rock The Bells is in full swing and there are still three chances left to see the most exciting hip-hop festival of the year which will take place at San Francisco’s Shoreline Amphitheater this Saturday, New York’s Governor’s Island on September 3rd and Boston’s Comcast Center on September 10th.
.
The show will see some of hip-hop and R&B’s biggest stars playing iconic albums in their entirety live and will feature Lauryn Hill performing The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill, Nas performing Illmatic, Erykah Badu performing Baduizm, Cypress Hill performing Black Sunday, Black Star performing Black Star, Common performing Be, GZA performing Liquid Swords and countless other acts performing classic discs on four separate stages.
.
Additionally Myspace will be partnering up with Fuse to provide exclusive content from the event and we’re not the only ones who are fans of these albums. For example, did you know that The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill and Illmatic are also two of Common’s favorite albums? Check out this clip from the Hip Hop Shop to learn more:

However it’s not all just gushing from peers, we also caught up with some of the artists behind these iconic albums. For example, Fuse’s TourĂ© also recently caught up with DJ Premier who talked about what it was like to work on Illmatic and what made him collaborate with a the then relatively unknown rapper back in the day.
