It’s hard to believe that a year has gone by since Charlie Sheen’s public meltdown, his rants about “tiger blood,” and his subsequent firing from “Two and a Half Men.”

In the new issue of Rolling Stone, Charlie addresses his erratic behavior.
.
“Clearly, a guy gets fired, his relationships are in the toilet, he’s off on some fu**ing tour, there’s nothing ‘winning’ about any of that,” he reveals. “I mean, how does a guy who’s obviously quicksanded, how does he consider any of it a victory? I was in total denial.”
.
On the heels of starring in a new TV show — aptly called “Anger Management,” which he will star in with ex-wife Denise Richards — Charlie reveals that despite his changed views about last year, one thing has not changed: he’s still drinking.
.
“I mean, the sh** works,” he says of being off the wagon. “Sorry, but it works. Anyway, I don’t see what’s wrong with a few drinks. What’s your drink? Tequila? Mine’s vodka. Straight, because I’ve always said that ice is for injuries, ha ha.”
.
As for Denise … well, she and Charlie, who divorced in 2006 and who have two daughters together, are now on perfectly good terms. Which sounds good for the kids.
.
“He and I are like best friends now,” says Denise. “Confidants. He tells me everything.”
.
Adds Charlie, “And we sleep in separate rooms. Everybody’s going to want to know that, too.”
.
And here’s something maybe we didn’t Charlie to come clean about … ladies, take note.
.
“I’ve not dated girls because of their feet,” he says. “Just the length of certain toes and the shape of where things should be and they’re not. Hammertoes are bad. And the second toe being too long? That’s bad, too.”
.
Um, ew?
.
“Anger Management” is set to debut on FX on Thursday, June 28.
