Rihanna’s upcoming appearance on Oprah’s Next Chapter is one of the most highly anticipated television events of the summer. Over the weekend, Winfrey and Rihanna met up in Barbados to do some filming—and don’t worry, they didn’t forget to tweet about it.

“What a refreshing surprise she is!” Winfrey tweeted about Rihanna, adding a photo that showed the duo walking together. The feeling was apparently mutual as Rihanna wrote, “Look who popped up in my Hometown BARBADOS #topnotch” and included a picture of the two of them sitting in a car together looking especially smiley.

Believe it or not, this will actually be the first time that Rihanna and Oprah have formally sat down for an interview, although during an episode of the show dedicated to domestic violence following Chris Brown’s assault on Rihanna she said, “If you go back with a man who hits you, it’s because you don’t think you’re worthy of being with a man who won’t. I’ve said before, ‘Love doesn’t hurt, and if a man hits you once, he will hit you again.’ ”

The episode will air on August 19th but if you need to get a Rihanna fix before then, don’t worry, because you can listen to plenty of Rihanna Radio as you pass the next week away.
