If you haven’s seen it before, you’re definitely missing out. It’s been almost six years since little miss innocent, Natalie Portman, shocked everyone with a Saturday Night Live short, “A Day in the Life of Natalie Portman,” in which she raps about drinking, sex, smoking weed, and more … all with the obligatory profanity (bleeped out by NBC, of course).

Now, in an interview with Playboy magazine, Andy Samberg reveals the true inspiration for the short came from Portman herself. According to Samberg, when she came up as the host of SNL, she told them she wanted to do a rap like everyone else on the show. They were taken aback and not sure what to think based on her public persona. However, it turns out that Portman is a big fan of Lil’ Kim and just broke out in some raunchy lines for the SNL cast. After that, they were convinced, and the rest is history.
