The marketing machine for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus just keeps on churning, and the latest tidbit they’ve offered up is a gallery of 17 new images from the film. Some of these photos are shots that will likely end up in the actual movie (as seen above), and there are also some are more behind-the-scenes looks at how Scott places his camera and sets up shots. Either way, fans of Scott’s work and of Prometheus specifically should definitely take a look. I’ve been wary of spoilers for this movie for a long time now, but these photos don’t give anything away, so feel free to check them out below and let us know what you think!

I love that last photo of the cast goofing off, especially in a movie that has such serious overtones to it. The costume design is really cool in this film, and I also like the photos that reveal the on-location shoots instead of being cramped up in a dark sound stage. Some of those backdrops are absolutely breathtaking. Thanks to Entertainment Weekly for providing the photos. Prometheus opens in theaters on June 8th, 2012.
