We’ve got news about “Dexter,” “The Inbetweeners,” a behind the scenes video for “Sons of Anarchy” and much more. Check out some of this week’s hottest links in TV below!
“Dexter” fans should be pleased to find out that Chilean actor Santiago Cabrera, who played Isaac Mendez on “Heroes” and Sir Lancelot on the BBC series “Merlin”, will be heading to Miami this season as a writer of true crime books regarding famous murder cases. Could he be working on a book about Dexter’s extracurricular activities? How close will he come to finding out Dex’s secret? Could he become the mild-mannered blood spatter analyst’s latest victim if he gets too close? I don’t know, I just like asking questions.

Michael Bay is taking a break from the world of giant robots just long enough to executive produce two new television series that both revolve around boats: one is a rip-off of ABC’s “The Last Resort” called “The Last Ship”, and the other actually sounds pretty spectacular since it’s a prequel to the classic pirate novel “Treasure Island” and follows a band of pirates during the 18th century.

Excited about the return of “New Girl” on FOX? I didn’t care for the pilot, but I heard the show really found its groove later in the season and has come into its own as one of the funniest shows on network TV. There’s a brand new poster for the series, which features the tagline, “New Season. Same Towels.” Yikes…hopefully the new season is funnier than that tagline.

So there’s a book series called “Outlander” – no, not the little-seen Jim Caviezel movie – this one’s about an English nurse who time travels from 1945 Scotland to 1743 Scotland and falls in love with a man who saves her from the tricky situations she gets herself into when she reveals her futuristic knowledge. The trouble is, she’s already married back in 1945. What’s a lady to do? “Battlestar Galactica” executive producer Ron Moore is bringing the novels to the small screen, and is aiming to make a completely faithful adaptation. Get excited, kilt fans.

The British series “The Inbetweeners” has already blown up overseas, with the show being a runaway hit and a movie based on it getting a huge reception from our British brethern. That movie is on its way to the States in September, and an Americanized version of the series is also on the way courtesy of MTV. Here’s our first look at the trailer from the new show.

“Sons of Anarchy” is gearing up its motorcycle badassery for another season, and EW has a behind the scenes video of the cast and crew talking about what we can expect from Season 5 (hint: explosions and nudity). We also get a quick glimpse of Ashley Tisdale as the high-priced hooker she plays in a few episodes, so that should be interesting to see in context.

I gave up watching “Once Upon A Time”, but for the fairytale fans who stuck through the first season, it looks like you’re about to be rewarded with a pretty freaking awesome villain in Season 2. I won’t spoil it here, so watch the video at io9 and find out which clock-hating baddie is heading to Storybrook.

Jimmy Fallon has done pretty well making a name for himself as a late night talk show host since taking over Conan’s old spot at NBC. During his reign, some of Fallon’s best moments have been musical collaborations with Neil Young, Justin Timberlake, and many more, but since NBC can, let’s face it, be huge douchebags about taking stuff down on YouTube, it’s tough to see a lot of that content if you missed it while it aired. This coming Wednesday, July 25th, Fallon will be hosting a primetime music special at 10:00pm that highlights all of the former “SNL” star’s best musical collabs, so set your DVRs accordingly.

And finally, this isn’t so much about a TV show as it is a TV commercial. You’re undoubtedly aware of the annoying Axe Body Spray ads in which ridiculously attractive women throw themselves at goofy looking guys just because they spray this stuff on their bodies. But it seems that they’re switching up their campaign a bit, getting Jack Bauer himself (aka Kiefer Sutherland) to narrate a new spot with his iconic gravelly voice. It’s still not the greatest commercial ever, but hey – it’s an improvement.
