Russell Brand’s temper flared a wee bit at his recent “Brand-X” premiere … and it was over his ex Katy Perry! Well, sort of.

He was walking the red carpet when he spied La Coacha, a Mexican-American comedienne, singer, blogger and internet personality. (She became Perez Hilton’s protégé after ’stalking’ him for a number of years.)

And it seems La Coacha was wearing a very Katy Perry-esque “candy” dress (a trademark of La Coacha’s, see example above), which must’ve brought back some old feelings for Mr. Brand. (Not like Katy owns the rights to that particular dress … it’s a free country.)

So what did Russell do? He grabbed his publicist and walked off the red carpet after having some serious words with La Coacha!! Russell’s rep also told her that was she was doing was “not cool.”

“Drama at Russell Brando premiere. Was wearing a candy dress that at wore b4 @katyperry and he got emotional and left the carpet!” La Coacha tweeted afterwards.

“Russell Brando’s publicista came up 2 me and said it was not cool 2 dress like @katyperry”

“Now @fxnetworks is gonna talk 2 me. came from @katyperry premiere. Is it my fault??????”

“Btw ay wore the candy dress b4 @katyperry!!! @perezhilton party. Don tell me I dress like her!”

“Russell Brando left his party and the press is piss off at me :( comedians need 2 estop being sensitib!”
