Miguel will release a new disc, Kaleidoscope Dream, in October, but fans can get a taste of the album with the new video for album cut “Adorn.” The artsy, stylish new clip is set in a high school and pairs the singer’s new single with eerie, smoke-filled visuals.

The video takes images from a high school locker room and hallways, and gives them a strange, darkened aesthetic while Miguel croons against a wall and while leaning on a slick car. It’s all very cool and arty and might even make you miss high school (that is, if you’ve already finished high school). Watch below:

We especially like Miguel’s pompadour and leather jacket. Just watching him in this video makes us feel hip. Kaleidoscope Dream may not be coming until the fall, but the R&B singer will tide fans over even further with a series of planned preview EPs, the first of which, Kaleidoscope Dream: Water Preview, came out today. The second disc, Kaleidoscope Dream: Air Preview, is scheduled for September 11. The final album will include all six songs from the EPs as well as five additional new tracks. Today’s EP features an extended version of “Adorn.”

Miguel said of the upcoming album’s title, “I believe dreams represent the purest form of fantasy we unleash through our subconscious. They represent the truest freedom we can experience. Totally unrepressed and totally creative.”
