Everyone is a-buzz this Sunday, February 5th with Super Bowl fever. The New York Giants and the New England Patriots will battle it out for the win. This Sunday, we all become football fans (or commercial fans, at least). I become one too but mostly for the spread of bad food. Now, what else is on …

If you’re not in a coma by the end, at 9pm check out a new episode of ’Downton Abbey.’ Nothing follows up football better than a period drama on PBS. Go ahead, get cultured. Or you can wash down all the football with some arts and check out the season premiere of ’The Voice’ at 10pm.

If you caught the first part of ’The Voice’ auditions on Sunday, you will want to tune in on Monday, February 6th for part two at 8pm. And if that wasn’t enough to sing about then catch the premiere of the new series ’Smash’ at 10pm, which follows a successful team who’s creating a Broadway musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe; Ivy, a seasoned chorus singer, competes with a new actress, Karen, for the starring role. I’m looking forward to seeing what all the hype is about.

On Tuesday, February 7th settle in as music shows officially take over your week. At 8pm ’Glee’ has guest star Ricky Martin talking about how sexy he is. At 9pm catch ’New Girl’ as Jess tries very hard to befriend their landlord. Or at 9pm catch the premiere of ’The River.’ After adventurer Dr. Emmet Cole goes missing in the Amazon, his location beacon sends out a signal; Emmet’s wife, Tess, along with her son and Emmet’s film crew, embark on a journey to find him. At 10pm catch a new episode of ’Parenthood’ when Zoe’s behavior causes Joel and Julia to rethink their adoption.

CBS
Wednesday, February 8th brings the return of the show ‘Person to Person’ a remake of a popular show from the 1950’s. The premiere kicks off with interviews with George Clooney, Warren Buffett, & Jon Bon Jovi. To read more about it, click here. Then at 9pm, there’s a new ’Modern Family’. Claire thinks Phil’s new business partner (Greg Kinnear) is blatantly inappropriate, but Phil doesn’t notice. At 9:30 catch ‘Happy Endings’ as Penny decides she wants to dump her new boyfriend, Dave worries his girlfriend is going to break up with him and Alex seeks out a party in a questionable part of town. And finally at 10pm do not miss ‘Revenge.’ In the excitement over Emily and Daniel’s engagement party, things start to unravel for everyone. And that’s sure to mean a great episode.

Thursday is the new Friday, right? No matter, I’ll be watching television cause there is a new ‘30 Rock’ on when Frank and Tracy try to find a date for Lutz. Love is definitely in the air. Then ‘The Office’ welcomes Pam back from maternity leave. At 9:30 there’s an epic fight between Kevin (Jason Lee) and Ava on ‘Up All Night’ that you don’t want to miss.
TGIF. Haven’t you always dreamed of a towel that provides enough coverage to change out of a swimsuit in public? Well, you’re not alone. On ‘Shark Tank’ we get to see this become a reality. But will our dream towel get the green light? At 10pm check out our favorite new sketch show ‘Portlandia.’ Then David Cross brings us another ‘The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret.’
And on Saturday check out an all new ‘An Idiot Abroad: The Bucket List.’ This will flex your laughing muscle to get you ready for SNL at 11:30 hosted by the adorable and lovely Zooey Deschannel with musical guest Karmin.
