There’s been a lot of speculation about Beyonce’s upcoming album… and very little news. Well, now fans can wonder a bit less. The pop star’s new single, “Girls (Who Run the World,” leaked yesterday.
.
The track, a bouncy girl-power anthem, borrows a beat from the Major Lazer track “Pon de Floor,” which is less surprising when you realize that Diplo ran some production on the disc. The video for the track has already been shot and was directed by Francis Lawrence. The shoot, which took place in the California desert, featured 200 dancers, which Beyonce reportedly flew in from Africa. You can see photos from the shoot here.
.

Despite this leak, relatively little is known about Beyonce’s next album, which has yet to receive an official release date (although reports say June). In addition to Diplo, Beyonce has also reportedly been working in the studio with Sleigh Bells and Odd Future. Odd Future’s Frank Ocean posted a photo of himself and the singer online recently, writing “Not to brag but man, this is surreal. Like… she’s singing my songs. If time were to stop now, the past couple weeks would be near the top of the highlight reel for my short time on earth.” Ocean later deleted the post.
