The Weinstein Co.
.
Remember that breakout performance by Joel Kinnaman in Snabba Cash back in 2010? No, of course you don’t. That’s because it was never released in the U.S., despite the fact that it was a huge success overseas. Even now, the sequel, Snabba Cash II is getting ready to hit European theaters later this year. Finally, it appears that The Weinstein Co. is ready to release the first movie under the title Easy Money for U.S. audiences.
It makes sense when you think about it, actually. Back in 2010, Kinnaman’s status in Hollywood wasn’t as strong until his role in the TV series The Killing and Safe House. And now, of course, it looks like he’s been cast in the reboot of RoboCop. The trailer for Easy Money gives us a glimpse of the action that we can expect from the movie, but what it doesn’t show is the subtitles that exist in the movie. No doubt that would be a turn-off for American viewers. Check out the trailer below, along with the synopsis, and let us know what you think. Will you go see Kinnaman in this Swedish box office hit?

Easy Money opens July 27th, 2012.
