Miley Cyrus is apparently not pleased with recent YouTube sensation Rebecca Black. One manufactured pop star to another, Cyrus blasted the “Friday” singer during an interview with Australia’s Daily Telegraph.
.
“It should be harder to be an artist,” Cyrus told the newspaper. ” You shouldn’t just be able to put a song on YouTube and go out on tour.”
.
She also added that she’s generally not a fan of the Internet, saying, “I do not Tweet, I do not social network, I try to stay out of it… for me, I complain enough about people knowing too much about my private life, so to go out there and exploit myself would be silly and hypocritical of what I stand for.”
.
Cyrus, who is about to embark on a world tour that will touch down in Australia, mentioned that she is no longer single, but refused to say who she’s now dating (we vote for Jake Gyllenhaal). “I don’t want to cross out the Australian boys, but I may or may not be single,” Cyrus said. “I’m definitely not coming to Australia single!”
.
Unfortunately for Cyrus, Black has announced she’s recording a second song to follow her inexplicable hit “Friday.” Black told Entertainment Weekly she’s recording in Orange Country and her next track will be called “LOL.” Let’s see what Cyrus has to say about that.
