We feel like we say this all the time, but what can’t Jay-Z do? In addition to being a rapper and entrepreneur, news has now broken that Hova will be the curator and executive producer of the upcoming video game NBA 2K13.

According to Billboard, Jay-Z worked with developers on the actual game and is including a diverse roster of artists on the soundtrack such as U2, Phoenix, Dirty Projectors, Daft Punk, Justice, Nas, Kanye West, Coldplay and more, making this the first basketball video game we’ve cared about since we were thirteen years old.

2K Sports’ vice-president of marketing Jason Argent told Billboard, “Jay is completely obsessed with authenticity, so right off the bat, he said ‘Look, I love this franchise and I love this game, but if you want me to be involved, I need to be truly involved. I want to actually help make this game.” Argent also added, “With his involvement within the league, he brought such a level of understanding to what we were trying to accomplish… I think the final product will reflect that level of excitement that he had.”
