THE WATCH LIST: TV this week
Posted 2/18/2012

NBC

.

It’s a box of joy that brings us hours of entertainment, so before you make any big plans this week check out what you should be watching instead.

This Sunday is why DVR was invented. 9pm is the power hour with the premiere of ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’, a new episode of ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘Downton Abbey’. How is a person to decide? Celebrity Apprentice brings us Arsenio Hall, Adam Carolla, and Debbie Gibson. ‘The Walking Dead’ brings the drama of Rick, Hershel and Glenn are trapped and fight to survive; Shane finds Lori in danger. And at ‘Downton Abbey’ it’s Christmas time.

Bravo

There’s nothing worse than Monday’s except Monday night is chock full of must watch TV. Start the night off right with ‘Gossip Girl’ at 8pm. Blair tries to save her friendship with Serena. Then there’s the premiere of ‘Bethany Ever After’ when hectic schedules and being in the spotlight along with being a new parent wears on Jason. Then finally a new episode of ‘Smash’ when Karen goes to Iowa for a baby shower and must make a decision about her future.

NBC

On Tuesday prepare for an emotional rollercoaster when tons of laughs and then some serious drama. Check out a new ‘Cougar Town’ when Jules asks Laurie and Ellie to be her co-maids of honor. Then on ‘New Girl’ Jess tries to stop a bully at school but instead she ends up as her new target.  Then on a new ‘Raising Hope’ Jimmy and Sabrina agree to be completely honest with each other and an unusual childhood phobia is revealed. Then tune into ‘Parenthood’ for some more serious times. Julia and Joel go to the hospital for their baby’s birth and Adam and Crosby get an offer for The Luncheonette

ABC

On Wednesday check out ‘Suburgatory’ when Jill’s marriage suffers after she starts seeking support from newly single Dallas. Then on a new ‘Modern Family’ Mitchell ruins one of Jay’s proudest moments and Gloria accidentally discovers Claire’s secret. And get ready for more laughing when on ‘Happy Endings’ the gang relies on Brad and Jane’s annual argument to let them know when Max will come out of hibernation and when winter will end.

NBC

Thursday is synonymous with laughing. A new ‘30 Rock’ starts us off right when Liz helps Jenna seduce an Internet billionaire. On ‘Parks and Recreation’ Leslie decides to throw Jerry a birthday party after everyone forgot. And on the new episode of ‘The Office’ Andy has everyone stay late to cover for their co-workers in Florida. Then on ‘Up All Night’ Chris agrees to throw a joint birthday party for Amy with an enthusiastic neighbor

On Friday check out a new episode of ‘Undercover Boss’ when CEO Bernt Bodal goes undercover as a deckhand. And at 10pm there is a new episode of ‘Portlandia’ when a surprise guest shows up at the party for Toni and Candace.

And finally on Saturday you’ve gotta check out ‘Bayou Billionaires’ when Gerald Sr. must come up with the perfect way to celebrate the anniversary of his first date with Kitten. Then stay tuned for ‘My Big Redneck Vacation’.
