Jackson Browne, Karmin And More To Join The Flaming Lips On Their Record-Breaking 24-Hour Tour
Posted 6/26/2012

.
As you already know, The Flaming Lips are attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the most concerts performed in multiple cities over 24 hours. They’ve announced the list of artists that will be joining them, and as you might guess, it’s full of surprises.

.
The Lips’ unlikely list of collaborators includes Jackass’ Chris Pontius, Jackson Browne, Neon Trees, Karmin and more, all of whom will join Wayne Coyne & Company as he attempts to break the record of seven shows in one day, which Jay-Z set back in 2006.
.
The Lips are planning to play eight shows from Memphis to New Orleans starting on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. EST. They will be rocking for a solid 24 hours as part of the O Music Awards, which will be broadest on various networks and online.
.
The Lips will travel on their bus dubbed “Endeavor” and will hit each location just as the opening act are wrapping up their set. The band won’t be performing full sets due to the obvious time constraints but don’t worry, we don’t think these record-setting performances will be anything short of spectacular.
.
So what do you think of the Lips’ plan? Do you think they can pull it off? Let us know in the comments section below as you listen to some Flaming Lips Radio!
