This morning a letter surfaced on a Lady Gaga fan site that appears to be written from Ke$ha to Lady Gaga which accuses Gaga of sending a bad message to fans by advocating fur and talks about the “disgust” Ke$ha feels toward Gaga as a fellow artist.

UPDATE: Ke$sha has come out to say that the letter is a “fake.”

The letter goes on to say, “It upsets me to see you, a role model to many, especially those who are fashion forward would openly endorse such a cruel and inhumane practice. Animals are skinned and tortured for hours in order to make the fur that you, and other individuals of the upper class, lavishing wear around proudly.”

It adds, “I can not begging to explain the amount of torture, harm and cruelty that is used when handling these animals that are ultimately killed for your pleasure. I hope this note has struck a chord with you and you strongly reconsider your decision to wear fur again.” The letter says that if Gaga would like to discuss this further Ke$ha an be reached through PETA’s Senior VP Dan Matthews who himself wrote a scathing open letter to Gaga this week.”
