VEVO
.
There are a lot of music videos that emerge every week and we want to make sure you get to see the best of the best of them. Here we’ve recapped this week’s top videos, which include new clips from The Killers, Pink and more.
.
The Killers – “Runaways”
.
In this clip for The Killers‘ new single, “Runaways,” the band takes an epic, ’80s vibe, using their live show to urge the video forward. Whatever they’re doing is working…
.
.
Pink – “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)”
.
Pink goes French classic in this unconventional tale of love found, lost and, um, rained on. We don’t want to spoil the ending, but let’s just say it involves a wash of the color pink amid this black and white clip.
.
.
Alanis Morissette – “Guardian”
.
In Alanis Morissette’s new video video for single “Guardian,” the singer dons a pair of angel wings and acts angelic, observing desperate social situations as they tragically play out. The musician recently said of the clip, “I think it really shows how the parent/guardian-angel roles are linked.” So, basically, it’s an upper.
.
.
The Black Lips – “Noc-A-Homa”
.
The new video from The Black Lips, directed by Sandy Kim, pays tribute to Chief Noc-A-Homa, the former mascot of the Atlanta Braves (he reigned over the ballpark from the ’50s until 1986). It certainly, um, humanizes the mascot.
.
.
Ben Kweller – “Jealous Girl”
.
This clip, which goes along with the first single from Ben Kweller’s upcoming album Go Fly A Kite, is a breezy summer love story. But, in the end, it’s not quite a happy one.
.
.
Andrew Bird – “Give It Away”
.
So imagine you are a child having your birthday party when suddenly a human pinata shows up. How to react? That’s the premise set forth in this Jessica Paliza-directed clip for Andrew Bird’s latest single. (Hint: chaos ensues.)
.
.
The Gaslight Anthem – “Handwritten”
.
Want a video that will make you go “Aww”? This new one from The Gaslight Anthem should tug at your heart strings and sending you racing to a record store.
.
.
Baroness – “Take My Bones Away”
.
Whether you’re a metal fan or not, you should be able to appreciate Baroness‘ new clip, which was primarily filmed on tour. The black and white live grit matches perfectly with the music’s heaviness. Speaking of, when are they toured in our town next?
