Smooth, sexy and… sitting right in front of you? That could be the case this month, as soulful everydude John Legend, on the brink of releasing his new album (Wake Up!, a collaboration with eclectic hip-hop vets The Roots) gives one luck fan the opportunity of a lifetime with our latest program, “Get Close.”

You may remember a few of the other “Get Close” events that we helped make happen over the past year: Lady Gaga singing Rilo Kiely songs with her biggest fan. Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips talking a blue streak with a neurology professor who later got the chance to dance onstage. The gist of “Get Close,” as you may have gathered, is to present unique esperience to MySpace users that gets them that much closer to the artists they respect and love.

And John’s opprotunity is no different: On August 31st, one fan will get the chance to meet and recieve a private performance (yes, you read that right) from John Legend in New York City. We’ll get you to Manhattan and handle the rest. What you need to do is submit a video of yourself here, explaining in two minutes (or less) why you should get to meet John and how you have made a positive change in your community.
