File this under: bizarre. Apparently Rick Ross is a fan of Fiona Apple – or, at least, in the rapper’s new video for “911″ there are some shots of him driving up to a sold out show with the singer’s name on the marquee.

In the beginning of the clip there’s a passing shot of the theater as Ross drives by (in a pretty serious car) and later he’s stands outside the venue in front of the “FIONA APPLE SOLD OUT” sign. So Rick Ross, world’s biggest Fiona Apple fan? This has to be intentional, right? The track, which comes off Ross’ new album God Forgives, I Don’t, is a hefty number that doesn’t seem quite congruous with Apple’s emotive music. But as Ross rolls around Los Angeles in his fancy car it almost makes him more human to see him appreciating the singer’s show. Check out the video below:

Beyond the Apple marquee, it’s a pretty typical hip-hop video – the cars, the gold chains, the shining lights, the Hustler store. This must be a pretty recently-shot clip, though, since Apple’s LA show was last weekend. That means Ross is just spitting out videos for his new album. And we’re not going to argue with that.
