Muse has released a brand new video for their official Olympics song “Survival.” The video, an homage to the success of Olympic athletes, showcases various summer Olympic competitors in action as the band’s dramatic, inspirational track plays in the background.
.
The song will be played throughout the sporting sessions in all the London 2012 venues during the Games. This includes when athletes enter the stadium and the lead up to the medal ceremonies. The number has also been made available for international broadcasters of the Olympic Ceremonies to use in their broadcasts. Which all basically means that you will hear a lot of this song in the coming weeks.
.
Frontman Matt Bellamy said of the track, “It’s a huge honor to have the track chosen as such a major part of the London 2012 Olympic Games. I wrote it with the Games in mind as it expresses a sense of conviction and determination to win.”
.
