Hot Chip debuted their new video for “Look At Where We Are” today – and, we have to say, it’s borderline terrifying. The clip, directed by Danny Perez, is a collaboration between the band, Domino Records and The Creators Project, representing a track from the group’s recent disc In Our Heads.

In the video a girl lies (presumably) dead on a medical table, arms strapped down and face ashen. A man, who we’d classify as a creepy mortician, begins to slice open a stuffed animal snake and smash the stuffing in the girl’s open head, which shines out with light. Are you following us so far? There’s a bowl of strawberries involved too. Halfway through the clip the camera falls into the light inside the girl’s head and we’re transported to a photoshoot she’s doing that goes awry. And then, well, watch and see:

We don’t really get this video, but it’s pretty and creepy at the same time, which means it certainly makes an impact. The visuals seem to connect with the mid-tempo monotony of the song, but we don’t really need to see an old man fill a young girl’s head with stuffing and strawberries ever again.
