What if Madonna injured herself before the Super Bowl and couldn’t perform? This is the scenario tackled by the latest edition of 30 Rock’s web series The Jack Donaghy Files.

In the episode, Jack (Alec Baldwin) needs to find a replacement musician for the Super Bowl halftime show after Madonna is injured in a, um, creative way. The catch? NBC can’t afford to pay any clearance fees so Jack needs musicians to sing theme songs to old NBC shows. Ryan Adams offers a rather lovely rendition of the Passions theme song while Michael McDonald sings the Saved By The Bell theme. Childish Gambino, a.k.a. Donald Glover, raps over the Knight Rider theme. All the versions are actually really good, but Jack decides to go another direction.

In the end, Cee Lo Green takes the Super Bowl stage to perform the BJ and the Bear theme song. And to promote The Voice, which comes back for a second season after the big game. Is it any better than Madonna’s upcoming performance with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.? We’ll know on Sunday.
