Adam Lambert will release his sophomore album in May. The singer says the disc, which he executive produced, “an exciting journey through the past two years of my life. It’s been a transformative period and I really wanted to make music from what I’ve experienced. All these songs honestly explore the ups and downs of my reality.” The album includes guest appearances and collaborations with Pharrell Williams, Dr. Luke, Bruno Mars, Claude Kelly, Benny Blanco, Bonnie McKee, Nile Rogers and Sam Sparro. The Hives – Lex Hives (Disques Hives/ILG, June 5)

The Hives will return this summer with their fifth album, this time “self-produced, self-played, self-released and self-promoted.” The deluxe version of the disc also features tracks produced by Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme. The album’s first single, “Go Right Ahead,” is out now. Listen here.
