Snoop Dogg was detained Thursday morning in Norway after customs officials found 8 grams of weed on him.

The Agder Police Department tells TMZ that Snoop — who is in the country to perform at Thursday night’s Hove Festival — was stopped at customs at Kjevic Airport in Kristiansand, which is where officials discovered his stash.

The incident cost him 12,000 Norwegian Krone … which converts to roughly $1,980.13.

Snoop — a.k.a. Calvin Broadus — is no stranger to pot-related arrests … let’s look back on a few of them, shall we?

• In May 1998, Snoop was fined and arrested for a misdemeanor of marijuana possession.

• In October 2001, he was arrested again for a misdemeanor of marijuana possession. In 2002, he pleaded no contest and was fined a total of $398.30 and received a suspended 30-day jail sentence.

• He was arrested on October 26, 2006 at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California for possession of marijuana and a firearm, according to a police statement. He was transported to Burbank Police Department Jail, booked, and released on $35,000 bond.

• Snoop was again arrested on November 29, 2006, after performing on The Tonight Show, for possession of marijuana and a firearm.

• He was also arrested on January 7, 2012, at a Sierra Blanca, Texas, checkpoint after border control agents found what they said was a small amount of marijuana on his tour bus. He “freely admitted” that the pot was his.

Snoop Dogg has been a longtime advocate for the legalization of marijuana and spoke in January of this year about how he might convince President Barack Obama to support a change in the country’s drug laws.

“Before I even said ‘Hi’ to President Obama, I would change the aroma of the room,” he said, “and then we could start conversing after we had that aroma change. You know what I’m talking about?”

Snoop also proposed to have rapper Wiz Khalifa do the same, adding, “They legalized alcohol, they legalized tobacco. What is it gonna hurt to legalize this medicinal, medical marijuana that’s used for purposes of cataracts?”

Obama is opposed to the legalization of marijuana.
