Serena Williams, rapper? Apparently so. According to TMZ, the tennis star hit the studio last week to record and aspires to become a rapper.
.
Williams, who is also part owner of the Miami Dolphins and a fashion designer, spent some of her studio session with hip-hip producer DJ Clue (and, according to TMZ, she was pretty good). Now, Williams is reportedly working with a record label run by Minnesota Vikings star Bryant McKinnie. So does that mean an album may be in the works?
.
It’s unclear exactly where the songs from this studio session will land, but Williams does seem serious about this new career path. This wouldn’t make Williams the first athlete to try her hand at rapping, either. Kobe Bryant released a track with Tyra Banks called, well, “K.O.B.E.” and footballer Deon Sanders even has a video for his song “Must Be the Money.” We just hope Williams spits a few lines about tennis.
