Lollapalooza announced its lineup last night and it looks like fans will be pleased. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath and The Black Keys will headline the festival, which is significant as Black Sabbath was initially meant to headline Coachella but the plan was derailed due to guitarist Tommy Iommi’s recent struggle with cancer.

Other artists on the bill include Jack White, Avicii, Justice, Florence and the Machine, At The Drive-In, Bassnectar, the Shins, Metric, Sigur Ros, Alabama Shakes, Of Monsters and Men and Passion Pit. The festival, which takes place August 3-5 in Chicago’s Grant Park, will play host to several reunions, including the first show from the Afghan Whigs (look them up) in a decade. Black Sabbath’s appearance will be the legendary heavy metal group’s only North American appearance (as of now).

Festival founder and Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell said in a statement, “This year our multi-colored lollipop swirls black and white with Black Sabbath, Jack White, and The Black Keys. Two Electronic acts, Justice and Avicii will be presented on the main stages… Can it get any heavier in the park?”

Overall we think this is a pretty good collection of bands. Red Hot Chili Peppers have previously headlined the festival and The Black Keys basically play every festival, but it really comes down to the non-headliners when deciding whether to snag tickets.
