As the founder of Lollapalooza Perry Farrell has always been a musical trailblazer and he once again proved it this year by booking electronic dance acts such as Avicii and Justice on the Lollapalooza main stage alongside alternative rock acts like Red Hot Chiili Peppers.
.
“Well, dance music is a passion of Lollapalooza,” Farrell told MTV News. “We have a stage called Perry’s that became a tent and I told them ‘Don’t put a tent on that thing, it’s going to burst at the seams’ … and sure enough it has. We don’t have a Perry’s tent anymore; Perry’s area, however, is in the wide open, under the stars and the moon and you can dance amongst the trees.”
.
As reported earlier today EDM acts like Avicii and Justice will join the other festival’s headliners such as the Black Keys, Jack White, Black Sabbath and more at the festival which will once again take place at Chicago’s Grant Park on August 3 – 5.
