There’s no question that today’s music world is teeming with drama, however a lot of it’s made-up, too. In that spirit Nicki Minaj, Big Boi and Chris Brown have all spoken up to say that there’s no beef between them and their collaborators and counterparts.
.
In a recent interview with MTV News Minaj explained that despite their volatile relationship everything is all good between her and fellow judge Mariah Carey. “It’s been going pretty good on Idol,” she explained and when asked whether her and Carey had made amends she curtly replied, “We’ve been fine.” We’ll take her word for it.
.
Additionally Big Boi has responded to an interview with him in the Village Voice which appeared yesterday and quoted him as saying “He said he had some Gilette shit” when asked why Andre 3000 wasn’t on his new album. “I was being sarcastic and they took it and ran with it,” Big Boi told MTV News “It was a vicious misunderstanding, how my man ain’t gonna be on my album to do a shaving commercial? Get the fuck outta here.” He also added he wouldn’t answer any more questions about Outkast.
.
Finally Chris Brown responded to rumors that Jay-Z tried to end Brown’s career if he hurt Rihanna again on Power 106. “It was cordial,” Brown said of the conversation between him and Hova at the Barclays Center last month. “It was real respectful. It was nothing like that. I went to the Center to see the show.” Brown went on to say about the rumors, “People like to take it and run with it, because they have nothing else.”

Well, I guess all we’re running with is that there ain’t nothing to see here…no beef between nobody, nowhere.
