.
Featured Album Releases:
.
Foo Fighters- Wasting LightIt’s been nearly two decades since Dave Grohl and Nirvana burst onto the scene with the aggression of the four punks they were, eager to have their voices be heard. What seems like a lifetime later, Grohl is still chugging with that same brand of youthful aggression. His band, Foo Fighters, holed up in his garage to craft their heaviest album yet. Take a listen.
.
Jessie J.- Who You Are– Few pop stars have been buzzed about as much as this U.K. starlet. Fresh off a raucous SNL performance, Jessie J. is poised to slay the American pop public. Not to mention, our hijacker himself, Simon Cowell, is a gigantic fan. Considering his tendencies to put people in their place, that’s saying something.
.
Panda Bear- Tomboy- His trio, Animal Collective, may have crafted one of the best albums in recent years, Merriweather Post Pavilion, but Noah Lennox, aka Panda Bear, is quite the solo artist. His newest release sees the experimentalist shredding his guitar through layers of distortion and effects. It’s a fuzzy glass of sonic warmth.
.
TV On The Radio- Nine Types of Light- Since 2008’s Dear Science, the album that finally gave TVOTR their critical due and made them an aural necessity for all, not just those living in Brooklyn, the artsy quintet return with their most accessible album to date. Production guru Dave Sitek is still every bit as elusive, while vocalist Kip Malone and Tunde Adebimpe will still suck you into their web of sugary sweet vocals, but this is a group poised to steal the hearts not just of the indie faithful, but the entire music community.
