We’re starting to suspect that Lil Wayne may not like anything. Except, of course, for skateboarding and his bro Justin Bieber. Otherwise, though, Weezy has professed his distain for numerous things lately, including New York City.
.
Apparently Weezy’s hatred for the town runs deep. In a recent interview Wayne told MTV News, “Flat out: I don’t like New York.” To be fair, though, Lil Wayne spent some time locked up in Riker’s in New York, so we can understand why he wouldn’t be as in love with the Big Apple as everyone else. Plus, the rapper was arrested over a gun incident in 2007 after a show at NYC’s Beacon Theater. But come on dude, don’t the pizza and bagels trump those bad memories?
.
MTV News inquired about this because Lil Wayne made an appearance at Nicki Minaj’s NYC show last week at Roseland Ballroom. The rapper, who once said he wouldn’t play in NYC again unless he was paid “U2 money,” took the stage to collaborate with Minaj. And he even liked it a little bit. Weezy said, “Last week was awesome. I think everything happens for a reason. When people say that, you’re not supposed to leave it at at that: ‘Everything happens for a reason.’ I believe everything happens for a reason, and then you make the most of that reason. I think we made the most of it last week.”
.
What else doesn’t Lil Wayne like? Well, music, for one thing. The rapper said in a recent webisode, “I really found a second love. And music is in trouble. Because I’m in love with this skateboarding shit.” So, okay, he probably doesn’t hate music. But still we’re concerned that Weezy is getting a little jaded. There’s got to be something he likes besides skateboarding. Miami, maybe?
