Today Kelly Clarkson released a new song called “People Like Us” and if you need an upbeat pop anthem to get you going this morning, it’s just what the doctor ordered.

They song starts out with Clarkson explaining, “We come into this world unknown but know that we are not alone. They try and knock us down but change is coming, it’s our turn now.” From there the song explodes via a blend of drums and electronic instrumentation with Clarkson’s powerful voice cutting through it all.

“We are all misfits living in a world of fire, sing it for the people like us” she sings during the chorus in between a series of catchy “whoa-ohs” and it’s difficult not to get caught up in the excitement. “People Like Us” is the third and last new track from Clarkson’s compilation collection Greatest Hits — Chapter One which comes out on Monday.
