Drake’s ‘Take Care’ to be released on October 24
Posted 6/9/2011

.
It looks like Drake will be taking his ‘October’s Very Own’ moniker literally when he releases his sophomore album, Take Care, a week before Halloween. The Canadian sensation took to Twitter this morning to announce that the album’s first single will be dropping in July with the album coming on October 24th.
.
Details are sketchy on the album, but Drake released a song, “Marvin’s Room” that sounds strikingly similar to his previous efforts. Drake half-croons, half-raps over production from right-hand man Noah “40” Shebib and complains about the road life forcing him to have sex four times a week. His earlier leak, “Dreams Money Can Buy,” followed a similar blueprint, even though Drake promises to make an album that sounds totally different from his smash debut Thank Me Later. Neither of these songs appear to be the single that Drake is promising in July and there’s no word on what exactly the single is going to be.
.

For Take Care, you can expect more production from 40 and the usual Young Money guests Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. Of course, the release date isn’t set in stone and Twitter release-date announcements are hardly the most reliable. We’ll keep you updated as more details emerge.
