Clipse member Pusha T announces solo debut
Posted 7/13/2010

Clipse member Pusha T is taking the steps toward going solo. Clipse manager Steve Victor confirmed on Monday that Pusha T will release a solo mixtape, titled Fear Of God, on September 14 (the same day Kid Cudi, Big Sean and Kayne West drop their new discs).

That release date is curious as rumors have been circling that Pusha might be signed with West’s G.O.O.D. music collective—to which Kid Cudi and Big Sean already belong—and scheduling Pusha’s debut solo effort for that date might help confirm that rumor. The Boombox reports that Fear of God will feature production by West, along with original verses.

Pusha offered a freestyle to MissInfo.tv during which he raps the record title. Watch below:

Pusha’s Clipse partner, Malice, is reportedly in talks with Roc Nation to secure his own solo deal. He told Brooklyn Bodega in May, “I didn’t even know [the deal] got off the ground. I’m not even talking about that…I would tell you. When we’re ready, we’ll talk about that.”

Sounds like we shouldn’t hold our breath for a follow-up to Clipse’s 2009′ LP Til the Casket Drops.
