Band featuring Adrian Grenier from ‘Entourage’ releases trippy video
Posted 3/28/2012

.

One of the most ironic aspects of HBO’s late bro-comedy Entourage was that its central character, Vinny Chase, the Hollywood mega-star played by Adrian Grenier, was, well, not that good of an actor. But it appears Grenier is now out to prove he’s got some other tricks up his sleeve. Case in point is the new music video for “Green & Gold,” courtesy of his band The Honey Brothers. It’s one triply rollarcoaster ride of bizarre proportions that involves dinosaurs, babies and words plastered across human eyeballs.
.

So when do you see Grenier in the video? Well, keeping in mind that every person in the video has his or her eyes covered, you won’t see really see him in all his big-grinned glory all that much. But you do catch a glimpse of his obscured face several times towards the end of the video.
.
The track itself can be best classified as sprightly indie-pop, but it’s hard to really tell how seriously these guys take their musical ambitions. This is also the first we’d heard that Grenier was a musician — we did know he was a documentary filmmaker — but it’s good to see the actor expanding his musical horizons beyond appearances in throwaway Britney Spears music videos.

Let’s hug it out and move on. Check out The Honey Brothers’ video for “Green & Gold” below.
